The Buddy System

I don’t need to mention what next week is because you all know where you will be already! Whether it is lounging by the pool or taking off for a full vacation from school, Spring Break is here and we are all ready to relax. Many ASU students will venture to the popular near by Spring Break destinations including Lake Havasu, Mexico, Las Vegas, and California. Although this is a break from school, work, and other stresses, we cannot forget one fundamental system that we learned quite a while ago in kindergarten. The Buddy System.

According to Urban Dictionary, the Buddy System “Usually applies to the “you help me, I help you” or the “because we’re buddies, you should totally do this for me” sayings.” Many college students agree that the Buddy System is specifically beneficial during the Spring Break week. While in large crowds it is necessary to stick together. That way you don’t look like you don’t have friends and it is easier to find those friends if they are located next to each other. The Buddy System has also revolutionized female restroom visits. Pairs and herds of female Buddies have made going to the bathroom much safer than years before. Going together ensures that everyone will get there, and it’s just so much more fun. More importantly, the Buddy System is a useful tool for remaining safe throughout your break. If you and your buddy watch out for each other and stay near to one another at all times, no one can get lost, runaway, or kidnapped. This makes for a fun filled week for both you and your buddy!
