Tonight I discovered the hidden gem of Sparky’s Den located in the lower level of the Memorial Union on the Tempe campus. I attended a social mixer for the Business School Council. It was the perfect place to hang out with other club members, listen to music and overall have a great time. If you have never been there – you should add it to your ‘must do’ list for your time at Arizona State University.
Sparky’s Den is home to video game machines, eight bowling lanes (including cosmic bowling!), fourteen pool tables and ping pong tables. It is open until 11 pm Monday through Thursday and Saturday, and until 1 am on Friday night. The best part is that it is just so convenient – as it is located right in the center of campus.
So, whether you are looking to have a fun night with your friends or are planning an event for a club, it is a great choice. You can either just show up or call ahead and make a reservation for bowling lanes or pool tables. Still not convinced? Try to beat the prices. To use the pool tables they charge only $3 per hour and for bowling it is $1.75 per game, with the additional cost of $1.50 for shoe rental. So not only does Sparky welcome you to his awesome den, he offers you a sweet deal too.
