The first of the columns on the exterior of the south wing of McCord Hall was poured last night (Wednesday). If you looked over at the site today you might have thought the contractor made a mistake. The column tilts noticeably toward the SRC practice fields — pretty clear if you study the photo.
But it’s no mistake. This is the first of three columns that are a design punctuation point on the southeast end of the building. More concrete will be poured overnight. The structural phase is moving fast!
